Charles R. Winter III, 65, of 2226 Hillside Ave., died Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Gatehouse Hospice.

Charles was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Middle East.

Charles was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Ivy Lodge #397 F. & A.M., a 32nd degree Mason and an officer of the Eastern Star. Charles enjoyed model railroads and cars. He was also a member of M.A.R.R.S., the Keystone Cruisers, the North Central Mustang Club, S.C.C.A. and was a world traveler.

Born April 18, 1946 in Williamsport, he was the son of Charles R. and Barbara C. Harbison Winter II.

Surviving are daughters, Kirsten A. (Tyrone Wills) Winter of Williamsport; Katrina C. (Glenn) Webster and Kendra F. Winter both of Baltimore, MD and grandchildren, James R., Nicholas V. and Kira M. Winter and James I. and Ariel N. Webster.

Charles was predeceased by a brother, Marc Winter.
