Charles R. Hittinger, Jr., 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018, at ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Fink) Hittinger, and also the late Leila (Cressman) Hittinger.
Born in Bethlehem, Charles was the son of the late Charles R. and Anna (Sedler) Hittinger, Sr. He served in the US Army, and then worked in a number of jobs, including Purolator Armored Car Service for 23 years and for Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedarcrest for 11 years. Charles was a member of Steel City Mennonite Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors: son Charles R. Hittinger, III, and his girlfriend Pamela Whitehouse and her children Haley, Seth and Dakota, all of Schofield, WI; sister Betty Kozul and her husband Peter of Bethlehem; his special companion,Pearl Hugo, of Bethlehem; and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Grandchildren that helped with Dad’s care.
