Charles R. Bruner, age 58 of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 at his home.

Charles was born March 9, 1964 in Wisconsin Rapids to Jack and Neoma (McCarthy) Bruner.

In his younger years Charles enjoyed jet skiing, snowmobiling, and shooting pool. He was a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Boy Scouts Troop 105. Charles worked at The New Body Shop and Paper Cities Lanes as a janitor for several years. He was also employed a few years at ODC (Opportunity Development Centers, Inc.).

Charles also liked listening to music especially 80s hair bands. He enjoyed family time at local lakes.  He attended local stock car races, concerts and fairs. He took many trips with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing Uno and Monopoly.

He is survived by his sister Dorinda (James Jr.) Durkee of Edgar; sister-in-law Pamela Dhein of Edgar; nieces: Tammy (Rory) Volm of Edgar, Jamie (Jason) Adamski of Marathon; great nieces and nephews:  Samantha Bruner of Weston, Eric Schmidt Jr. of Weston, Naomi Volm (Brad Klimpke) of Edgar, Mary Volm of Edgar, Jenna Adamski of Marathon, Nicholas Adamski of Marathon; great-great niece Aubree Klimpke of Edgar.

Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers James and Michael Bruner, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Myra Manske and River City Estates for several years of care for Charles.
