Charles Paul Squires, 85, of LaSalle, died at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle. Mr. Squires was born Feb. 21, 1922, in Morris Run, Pennsylvania, to Stanley and Martha (Pavlauc) Squires.
He attended the University of Indiana and served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He married Ruth Bradley on Aug. 29, 1946. She died in 1962. He then married Mary Jane Duncan on Nov. 20, 1965. She died on April 26, 2004. He was a member of Dalzell Masonic Lodge and Consistory of Bloomington.
He is survived by two daughters, Dr. Cassandra (Dr. Barry) Harrison of Florida and Martha (Dr. Scott) Keyes of Granville, Ohio; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph (Pat) Squires of Pennsylvania; and a sister, Pauline Raszewski of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Stanley, Steve and Dan Squires; and a sister, Ruth Squires
