Charles Nielsen, 78, of Indianapolis passed away on June 20, 2018. He was born on May 10, 1940 to the late Jens and Ruth Nielsen in Englewood, New Jersey. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard for 32 years, before retiring as Chief Warrant Officer.
Charles is survived by his daughters Heather (Justin) Welling and Kelsi Nielsen; grandchildren Kasen Welling and Jacinda Welling; sister Arline Rock, Carol Shaw, and Kate Nielsen. In addition to his parents he is preceded in passing by his sister Claire Lovejoy.
