Charles N. ‘Bunky’ DeVault, 55 of Melrose, FL, formerly of North East, MD died Thursday, May 14, 2009 with his family by his side.
Born on March 22, 1954, he was the son of Irene Scheffler of Melrose, FL, with whom he spent his last days, and the late Charles ‘Sparky’ DeVault.
He was a concrete finisher for over 40 years, working with various companies in Cecil County. He enjoyed fresh and saltwater fishing, and crabbing in the Chester River.
He is also survived by his children: Charles N. DeVault and his wife Sarah of Suprise, AZ, Dillon M. DeVault of Venice, FL and Ely C. Biggs of North East, MD; granddaughter, Teagen of Surprise, AZ; his sister Sarah Brunner of Melrose, FL whom cared for him; and his stepfather, Robert B. Johnson of Perry Point, MD.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Bobby Johnson, maternal grandparents, Robert and Sarah Loynds, paternal grandmother, Vie Edwards, and step grandparents, John and Elizabeth Johnson.
