Mr. Charles M Shumpert, 80 of Sharpsburg, Georgia passed away on Saturday December 20, 2014. Charles was born December 31, 1933 in Carolina, Mississippi, and was the son of Mitchell and Nona (Lindsey) Shumpert. He was retired from SITA as an Airline Telecommunications Senior Systems Analyst where he was employed for 23 Years. Prior to SITA, he was employed by Southern Airways for 21 Years. Charles served for the U. S. Army in Germany for 3 years. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and step-father Robert (Shorty) Shumpert of Tupelo Ms.; son, Michael and his wife of 55 years Patricia Webb Shumpert, grandson Jacob Metzger of Sharpsburg, Ga., in-laws Wilson and Jewell Webb and brother in law Jack Webb of Tupelo, Ms. He is survived by his children, Patrice (Benny) Gee of Hiram, Ga., Robert (Sandra) Shumpert of Newnan, Ga. and Teresa Shumpert of Sharpsburg, Ga.; 1 brother in law and 2 sisters in law.7 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 5 step great grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter on the way, 3 step grandsons and spouses. Several nieces & nephews and cousins.
