Charles L. Newton, 73, of Waxhaw, NC, entered into new life on Wednesday, January 03, 2018 at the CHS Hospice House of Union County. Born on December 27, 1944 in Douglas County, NE, to the late, Donald A. Newton and Sylvia Wise Newton. Mr. Newton was a truck driver for many years, traveling all over the country. Charles and Linda would make trips delivering all over the USA, making special memories while doing so. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, he will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memories; his wife, Linda F. Newton of Waxhaw, NC; son, Christopher Newton and wife Kara of Riverside, CA; daughters, Charmaine N. Darensbourg and husband Jerry of LaMirada, CA, Debra A. Salatin and husband Mark of Gulf Breeze, FL, Tamara A. Frank of Locust, NC and Tanya B. Rorie of Indian Trail, NC; granddaughters, Cynthia M. Moss and husband Dustin of Monroe, NC and Ashley A. Frank-Thomas and husband Josh of Locust, NC; brother, Donald S. Newton of Columbus, OH; mother-n-law, Mary W. Freeman of Lancaster, SC; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his life long friend, Mike Davis of Apache Junction, AZ.
