Charles Lee Vannoy, 53, passed away at his Fairfax home on Friday, August 19, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fairfax to Billy Ray and Rebecca Gillespie Vannoy, family and community were always important to him. He was an honest, kind, loving, and loyal man. His strength and compassion were evident in everything he did. Charles worked for Fairfax County Public Schools for many years, most recently as a structural team leader. He was a long time member of the Manassas Moose Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, or camping. He had a fondness for old Westerns, was a devoted Redskins fan, and took great pleasure in attending his children’s sporting events. Among his survivors are his wife of 32 years, Deborah Sue; his children, Pamela Sue, Candace Marie, and Charles Lee Vannoy, Jr,; grandchildren, Lucas and Scarlett; his mother, Rebecca Vannoy Kestner; siblings, Johnny Vannoy and Patty Rose; and many other relatives and friends.
