Charles Lawrence Wayman, 66, of Boerne, passed away on July 13, 2019.
Charles Lawrence Wayman was born September 8, 1952 in Cambridge, England to Glenn M. Wayman and Anne Litz Wayman. The proud son of a WWII veteran and POW survivor, Charles grew up in Oxnard and Ventura County, CA. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a BA in Business. He had a residential construction business with his wife Darlene and his son Glen.
Charles was a devoted man of God whose most treasured life accomplishment was that all of his children gave their lives to and follow the Lord. He was an incredible man who loved family more than anything else. His children, stepchildren, and grandchildren were always at the forefront of his thoughts and plans. When he was relaxing, he loved to watch old movies or listen to his vast collection of music. He was adventurous and enjoyed hiking and kayaking, but mostly exploring off the beaten path. Extremely artistic and highly intelligent, he designed and built homes, created board games and puzzles, drew maps, and was a talented cook. Charles was an AMAZING man.
Charles is survived by his wife, Darlene; his children, Lauren Higgs, Marissa Davis (Evan), Glen Wayman (Monica), John Wayman (Tara); his stepchildren, Lane Burrow Jr. (Helena) and Jennifer Darmafall (Kevin); his grandchildren, Madison Higgs, Preston Higgs, Mason Wayman, Mackenzie Wayman, Clarice Wayman, Chelsea Wayman, Liam Wayman, Zachary Wayman, and Maxwell Darmafall; his sister, Valerie Wayman Martin; his nephew, Colton Russell Wayman Martin; and his niece, Aurora Anne Wayman Martin.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Glenn M Wayman and mother Anne Litz Wayman.
