Charles L. Bimm 85 of Peru formally of Wyanet, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital. Mr. Bimm was born February 17, 1925, in Wyanet to Charles L. and Alma Hazel (Bradley) Bimm.
He married Betty Lou Graham on February 22, 1947, at the Congregational Church in Wyanet. He was a US Army veteran serving in WWII and Korea. During WWII he was a member of the OSS-Office of Secret Service, a precursor to the CIA. He was employed by Sigmund Electric for 33 years as a television repairman.
He is survived by his wife Betty, three children, Peggy (Gary) Olson of Peru, Bonnie (Ronnie) Glynn of LaSalle, and Greg (Connie) Bimm of Chicago Heights; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers.
