Charles Kenneth Knuckles, 52, Pendleton, died December 6, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis after a brief illness. He was born April 8, 1957 in Anderson, and resided in Pendleton. He is a lifelong resident of this area. He was a graduate of Pendleton Heights High School, Indiana University, and Butler University. He retired from General Motors as an Environmental Engineer after 20 years of service.
He was a deacon, a trustee, and a Sunday school teacher at Huntsville Community Church in Pendleton. He was also a member of SigmaChi, Solar Masonic Lodge #734 F. & A.M., and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. Charlie was a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He never met a stranger.
He was an inspiration to his family and friends He was loved by all. He is survived by his wife; Kim Patterson Knuckles. Two children; Corey Hall, and Sally Hall of Pendleton. His mother; Glenda Knuckles of Summitville. A sister; Brenda Purvis of Summitville. Father in law; Ralph Patterson of Alexandria, Sister in law; Jan Dalton of Anderson. Brother in law; Mark Patterson of Anderson. Nieces and nephews; Richard “Clark” Purvis of Sumittville, Ty Dalton of Pendleton, Jaymee Patterson of Summitville, and Cody Patterson of Summitville. Also surviving is his beloved companion; Deaney.
