Charles Kapsa, retired Major USAF passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family the evening of December 13, 2012. He was born September 28, 1923 to Agnes and Charles Kapsa Sr. in Chicago, Illinois. He is predeceased by both his parents and his older brother, Albert. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Kapsa, daughter Susan Arlene Kvicala (Kevin) his son Douglas by his first marriage to Ann, granddaughter Kaylee Kapsa (daughter of Douglas and Eileen), his nephews Albert and Bobby Kapsa and niece Patty (Martin) Hartigan.
Charles served loyally from 1942-1970.
He also treasured boating, fishing in the Gulf, woodworking, and time spent with family, friends and pets. He worked hard, played hard and always had a good joke peppered with a pinch of mischief.
Charles was cremated according to his wishes.
The family wishes to thank all who cared for Charles during his long illness, including Emerald Coast Hospice and Dr. Lee Ettinger and staff.
