Charles F. McKenna, 80, of Salisbury Twp., died Friday, March 20, 2009, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Dolores J. McKenna. They would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this April 3rd. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles B. and Orlean F. (Bush) McKenna. Charles was an army veteran of the Korean War, where he served as Corporal of the 340th Military Police. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Allentown. He worked for the Saucon Valley Country Club, where he managed the Men’s Locker Room for 34 years until retiring in 1982. He also volunteered in the office at the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital for 15 years. He was an avid golfer, Phillies fan and had a great love for music, especially Frank Sinatra. Survivors: wife Dolores at home; daughters Lori C. of Philadelphia and Suzanne D. of Macungie; brother and sister in laws Gerald and Berte Buss, John and Arline Pavlochik; nieces June and Arline and nephew Sonny. He was predeceased by his son Charlie D. in 2005 and sisters Marjorie and Grace.
