Charles Edward ‘Chuck’ Meade, age 70, of Grassy Lick Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington.
Born July 4, 1946, in Hazard, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Rena Fay Day Meade. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Katherine Meade.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 48 ½ years, Joyce Ann Griffith Meade, whom he wed September 7, 1968; two brothers, Bill (Elaine) Howard of Mansfield, Ohio, and Robert Meade of Morehead; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
Chuck enlisted in the USMC in 1965 and served his country until 1969, including two tours in Vietnam. Sgt.
