Charles E. Trotter, age 92, of Lexington Avenue, Salem, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born April 25, 1920 in Salem, Ohio to the late Wallace and Zora (Lingo) Trotter. Charles worked for the Electric Furnace Co. as a machinist for 43 years, retiring in 1983. He was a life member of the Salem Elks Lodge # 305, a 1938 graduate of Salem High School and a member of the Salem First United Methodist Church. His wife, Helen L. (Lora) Trotter, whom he married November 26, 1942, preceded him in death on April 23, 2005. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Beasley of Houston, TX; and two grandchildren, Brooke Nicole Beasley and Layne Joseph Beasley.
