CHARLES EVERETT (BUSTER) DONNELL, 92, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Chautauqua Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, DeFuniak Springs, Florida. “Buster” a long time resident of Bob Hope Village, Shalimar, Florida was born in Lewiston, Maine on March 17, 1921. The son of Floyd and Olivett Donnell (Both Deceased)he is survived by his current wife Geraldine Roebuck-Donnell, Sister-Ruth Klemenski, Daughter and Son-in-Law Patty and Bob Hesse, Oxford, Maine, Grandchildren- Michael Burnham and his wife Nita, and Jessica Lippincott, Maricopa, Arizona, Great-Grandchildren-Nicole (Mesa, Arizona) and McKayla Burnham and Hayden Lippincott, Maricopa, Arizona, and Stepdaughters- Krystal and Readenna Roebuck.

A true patriot, Buster was loved by everyone he came in contact with. He served as an advisor, mentor, story teller, and “adopted grandfather” to many active duty military and veterans alike in the area. He enjoyed having our young warriors around him, telling stories, and seeking advice. Buster’s second family was our military, and he had a special place in his heart for the US Army Rangers and the US Air Force Special Operations.
