Charles A. Johnson (“Chuck”) of Plymouth, died peacefully on Friday July 1 with his family at his side at B.I.D.Hospital Plymouth. He is the beloved husband of Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Fahey) Johnson and son of the late Charles and Barbara (Ross) Johnson. Chuck was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on July 6th 1944, graduated from Silver – Lake Regional High School in Kingston and then served his country in the US Air Force. Chuck made many friends in Plymouth and Florida and enjoyed helping families, across the generations, as part of his work during his 50 years in the auto industry. In his spare time, he captained his sportfishing “Land’s End” boat with Peggy to Provincetown and the Islands, making many happy memories with their D Dock family. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and travel. Chuck and Peggy enjoyed many adventures together, including winters in their Naples, Florida home, and crossed many items off of their bucket list, including traveling to Costa Rica, the Florida Keys, the Pacific Northwest, the California wine country, and Alaska. His biggest joy was being “Grampy Chuck” to his grandkids. Besides his loving wife Peggy, he is survived by his son Jim Parkhurst (and his wife Addy Press) of Plymouth and his daughter Cherie Tavernelli (and her husband Steve) of Plymouth, his grandchildren, Vinny and Tony Tavernelli, Chloe and Cam Parkhurst and Rebecca and Noah Soilson, his brother in law and cribbage partner Jim Fahey and his wife Francine of Kingston, and his nieces and nephews Barbara, Joe, Mike and Aaron Callahan of Vermont.
