Charles “Chuck” A. Bigler, age 74 of 2131 County Highway 39, Sycamore, Ohio, died suddenly on July 25, 2020 at home. He was born on February 3, 1946 in Tiffin, Ohio to Roy J. and Carol (Lust) Bigler. He married Rebecca (Messenger) Bigler on June 16, 1966 and she survives.

Surviving are two daughters, Tracey (James) McCarthy, Columbus, Ohio, and Victoria (Murray) Knisely, Asheboro, North Carolina. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Grey McCarthy, Enya McCarthy, Charles Tate Kinsley, and Mason Knisely, plus one brother, John J. (Barb) Bigler, rural Sycamore, Ohio.

Charles was a retired farmer but for many years farmed with his brother John as the Bigler Brothers.

He was a 1964 graduate of Mohawk High School and a 1967 graduate of the former Clark County Technical College. He was a former member of the Mohawk Young Farmers, was a former Eden Township Trustee for 12 years, and was at one time on the committee for the Wyandot County Soil & Water Conversation District. He was for many years an advisor for the Wyandot County 4-H and served on many committees associated with 4-H throughout the county. He was a mentor for many young showmen who were going to show livestock at the fair and other events throughout the state.

He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Indians fan, and followed Mohawk softball for many years. Chuck didn’t know a stranger.
