Charles “Chick” William Hall 87, of Centralia, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Mr. Hall was born on July 9, 1927, in Clinton County, Illinois the son of William and Edith (Johnson) Hall.

He married Dolores Hall on June 7, 1947, in Salem and she preceded him in death in 2012.

Charles is survived by a daughter Linda Kay Griner of Centralia, IL; one grandson Erik and wife Tara Griner of Portland, OR; one great-grandson Max Hoots of Portland, OR; one great-granddaughter Mazzy Griner of Portland, OR.Mr.

Hall was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a grandson Jason Griner; and a son-in-law Don Griner.

Mr. Hall was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church. He was also a member of the VFW Post 2055 in Centralia, IL. He was an avid fisherman, and hunter and most of all loved to be on his riding lawnmower. Charles worked for the Illinois Central Railroad, also as a trucker with the Viking Freight Company. He previously worked for the Hollywood Candy Factory and the Ice plant in Centralia.
