Charles C “Buddy” Barker, 78 of Newburg, passed away December 21, 2013 at Heartland of Preston County with family at his side. He was born December 2, 1935 in Newburg, son of the late Roscoe and Eva Johnson Barker. Charles worked for Greyhound Van lines for many years. He was also a maintenance worker for an complex apartment in Pittsburgh. Charles is survived by three brothers, Roy “Sonny” Barker and wife Lulabelle, Paul Barker, Jerry Barker all of Newburg; three sisters, Genevieve Stemple and husband Bill, Alexandria, VA, Barbara Mitter, Newburg, Linda Dean and husband Eddie, Rowlesburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by six sisters, Betty Felicia, Mary McGinnis, Shirley Menefee, Margaret Goff, Bonnie Wiles and Frances “Patty” Stemple. The family would like to Thank Heartland of Preston County for all their wonderful care of our Brother.
