WARD, Charles Bruce. Passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Charles was born March 30, 1954 in Vicksburg, one of three sons born to Robert L. and Edith DeHaan Ward. He graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1972 and was employed by the Portage Public School system as a custodian for over 17 years. Charles was an outdoorsman and loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, in 1989; and a son, Joel Christopher Ward in 2007. Charles is survived by his mother, Edith Ward of Portage; his children, Kyle Jennifer Ward and Chelsea Ward, all of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren, JonChristopher and Logan Ward; brothers, Robert Maryanne Ward of Lawton and Dennis Judy Ward of Richland; many nieces and nephews.
