Charles “Charlie” Padgett, 73, of San Mateo, gained his wings on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, following a brief illness. He was born on November 11, 1947, in Jacksonville, FL, and was a veteran of the US Army. Charlie was a millwright by trade for the local 2411 union out of Jacksonville where he also served as the union organizer and business agent. He had a passion for classic cars and will be greatly missed for his sense of humor as well as his love of telling a great story.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Myrtle Padgett.
He is survived by his son, Ricky Padgett, 2 grandchildren, Trinten and Karlee Padgett all of Palatka, sister, Debra Ray of California, and several close and special friends.
