He was born on May 6, 1921 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
He retired after 45 years from IMC Terre Haute.
He was a member of the VFW Post 972, American Legion Post 104, and past commander of the Vigo County Veterans Council. He organized the local Basha Of the CBI Veterans Organization and was past state commander. He was past president of the eastern Illinois and western Indiana Muscular Dystrophy Association.
