Charles A. “Tony” Jarrett, 93, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on June 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born on August 30, 1922 in Terre Haute to Charles W. and Pearl M. Jarrett.
He graduated from Indiana State Laboratory High School in 1940. He was married to Barbara Ann Rockwood on August 29, 1942. He served 38 months in the US Army 721st Railway Battalion in the China/Burma/India Theater during World War II. He formed lifelong friendships with two fellow comrades, Ernie Endsley (Huntington, IN) and Allen Chandler (Burns, TN).
