Charlene L. Angell, 69, of Dowagiac, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 in Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.She was born January 27, 1945 in Texas to Charles and Lillian (Runkus) Flora. She married Jim Angell in March, 1966. He survives. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.Charlene loved her crafts and her animals.
She helped take care of any animal that crossed her path. Neighbors would often bring sick or wounded animals to her to be nursed back to health. She was affectionately known as a task master in 4-H.
Family and friends will greatly miss Charlene. She is survived by her husband of almost fifty-nine years, Jim Angell of Dowagiac; one son, Michael (Angela Tucker) Angell of Hobart, Indiana; four granddaughters, Haven Angell, Mackenzie Knapp, Alexis Griffith, and Madison Griffith.
