Chardy (Charlotte) Lieb, 64, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born Jan. 11, 1952, in Beardstown, the daughter of Charles “Red” and Jalette Nunn Walker. She married Jerry Lieb on May 30, 1981, in Jacksonville, and he survives.
She is also survived by her son Dusty Lieb (Layna Miller) of Jacksonville; her mother, Jalette Walker of Jacksonville; and one brother, Raymond Hofman of Sherman. She was preceded in death by her father; and aunts, Jeanette Cole and Margaret Jenkins.
Mrs. Lieb is a graduate of Peoria Central High School. She later received her Associate’s Degree from Lincoln Land Community College and attended Illinois College. Chardy had been a secretary at Salem Lutheran School for many years. She was also a published author. She loved reading and writing, and she loved her pets.
