Chad Douglas Berryman, 43, of Anderson, passed away on December 2, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on December 31, 1969 in Anderson, and resided all of his life in his hometown of Anderson. Chad graduated from Anderson High School and was a frame carpenter by trade. He also made a living by fight sports; as a trainer, cage fighter, boxer and weightlifter. He was a multi state national, teen national and world champion powerlifter. He won the Indiana State Golden Gloves two times, as a heavy weight.
He competed and placed with high honors nationally in boxing and had an undefeated mixed martial arts record. He has accomplished numerous other awards throughout his life in football, baseball, basketball and other areas of sports. Chad is survived by his loving spouse whom he married August 13, 2007, Jamie Mullin Berryman, of Anderson, IN, son, Desmond Berryman of Chesterfield, son, Bronson Berryman of Anderson, step-son, Devin Mullin of Mechanicsburg, step-daughter, Alexis Hollenbeck of Anderson, mother, Diana McGuire of Anderson, brother, Todd Leslie Berryman of Anderson. Also surviving are his nephews, Mason and Larry Berryman of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Berryman, brother, Timmy Berryman, and his step-father, William McGuire.
