Celia C. Edge Reaves, 80, of Niceville, FL, born September 27, 1932, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 19, 2013.
She was preceded in death by: mother, Jessie Alma Edge; father, Joe P. Edge; brothers, Joe B. Edge, Frank Edge, Bobby Edge, Ox Edge, Jake Edge; sisters, Alma “Kitten” Edge, Amy Edge Bressman; daughter, Denise Reaves; son, Britt Reaves; and granddaughter, Leona Reaves.
She is survived by her loving brother, Gene Edge; son, Tison (Sharon) Reaves; daughter, Pam Griswold (and her partner Richard Whitfield); daughter-in-law, Kay Reaves (Fred Johnson); grandchildren, Sylvia Reaves, Aaron Griswold, Hope Reaves, Faith (James) Flores, Colten Reaves, Nick (Rachel) Miller, Tison “Tiger” G. Reaves; great-grandchildren, Wesley Martin, Lloyd Martin Jr., Jaxson Liski, and many nieces and nephews.
Celia (known to many as “Meme”) was one in a million. She loved everyone. She was always smiling and full of life. And she loved the Lord.
Celia was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, and to many, a dear friend. She graduated from Niceville High School on June 1, 1951, and she was a very active cheerleader and basketball player.
If she saw a kid that didn’t have a place to go she took them in and helped them get back on their feet.
She is now with the Lord and Savior smiling down onto all of us. As she is Finally home, where she wanted to be. Rest well “Meme”; you will be greatly missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
