Your LIFE was a BLESSING, your MEMORY a TREASURE. You are LOVED beyond words and MISSED beyond MEASURE.

Celavie Viergela Etienne was born on December 7th, 1947, in Bassin Bleu, Haiti to Florvilus and Cinelia Pierre.  She worked as a tailoress while living in Haiti. She moved to the United States in 1998 where she worked as a hotel attendant for many years before retiring and splitting her time between Haiti and New Jersey.

She was lovely, kind, respectful, courageous, hardworking, and disciplined. Up until her last days, she spent her time showing compassion and care for others. She loved to feed, provide and spend time with everyone, but most importantly her grandchildren.

‘Vierge’ as known by everyone was a faithful servant of God, instilling ideals and structure into her children’s lives and ensuring that they understand the most important things in life and that they prioritize faith, family, and self.

Our dear “Viergela” was called home by the Lord on February 9th, 2022. Sharing the memories of her wonderful life are:
