Cedric C. Fowler, 100, of Indianapolis was born November 8, 1916, in Waynetown, IN to Chester and Georgia Adella Fowler. Four brothers and one sister followed. He attended elementary school in Waynetown and graduated from Waynetown High school in 1934. Soon after the family moved to Brownstown, Indiana. One day while ice skating on a frozen pond he met a very pretty girl named Dorothy, and the 77 year love story began.

In 1946 after the war ended he returned to Indiana where he and Dorothy settled in Indianapolis. Due to his interest and training in electronics he began working for Riddick Piano and Organ Co.

Ced and Dorothy moved to the Southport/ Homecroft area in the late 1940’s and a daughter, Cathy Carol, was born in 1950.

Cedric is survived by his daughter Cathy (Jerry) Middendorf; grandchildren Michael (Jennifer) Wertz, Tara Cartee, Sean Wertz; great-grandchildren Marissa Cartee, Miranda Cartee, Henry Wertz, Madeleine Wertz, and Charlie Wertz; brothers Rex and Bill Fowler. He is preceded in passing by his wife Dorothy Fowler, parents Chester and Adella Fowler and siblings Jean Griffin, Harry and Wayne Fowler.
