Cecil Kight, age 89, of Delight, Arkansas died Monday, November 22, 2021 in Glenwood, Arkansas.  He was born September 5, 1932 in Bluff Springs, Florida the son of the late Jesse Kight and Mamie Crutchfield Kight.

 

 

Mr. Kight was of the Christian faith and served in the United States Navy.  During his career he was a firefighter with the Newport Beach, California Fire Department, and a master electrician. He served as an electrical inspector for the city of Boise, Idaho and also the state of Idaho.  He was a true craftsman and enjoyed building guitars and furniture for family and friends.  Cecil was a licensed HAM operator, loved a good yard sale, and was a good neighbor and friend to all.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Kight and Mamie Kight; his stepmother Rosie Kight, one daughter Vicki Kight Wheeler, infant son Steven Kight, brothers Jesse Kight Jr., Curtis Kight, and one sister Jessie Kight Kurriger.

 

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Barbara Love Kight,  one son Mark Kight and wife Carolyn of Murietta, CA; one daughter Rebecca Kight of Delight, AR; grandchildren Clint Wheeler, Chris Wheeler and wife Megan, Kelsi Wheeler Hartley and husband Dale, and Kayla Kight; and one great granddaughter Charlie Wheeler, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
