Cecelia T. Popovich, 88, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at The Jefferson House in Newington, with her family at her side. Born on October 13, 1925, in New Britain, Cecelia was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Ciepla) Malinowski and the wife of the late Joseph Popovich. Prior to her retirement in 1992, Cecelia was employed as a secretary for Heublein, Inc. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Farmington. Cecelia is survived by a sister, Clara Gacek of Kensington, her sisters-in-law, Genevieve and Jean Malinowski and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and beloved husband, Cecelia was predeceased by her brothers, Edward, Stanley, Lucian and Henry Malinowski.
