Cecelia “Pat” Pressley Young Andrews, age 89 of Cleveland. Ms. Andrews passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Gateway Healthcare Center following a period of declining health.
Ms. Andrews was born on December 5, 1920 in Mooresville, North Carolina to the late William Frank Young and Lottye Elizabeth Howard Young.
As a teenager Ms. Andrews worked for the Lance Cracker Company in Charlotte where after completing business school, she held a position in the accounting office, later she worked part time for the Charlotte Coliseum, now known as the Bo jangle’s Coliseum in the ticket booth, and eventually retired as the Administrative Assistant to the Director. Dancing was one her passions, she loved to dance and was a member of Arthur Murray Dance Studio where she participated in, winning several competitions .
She is preceded in death by her grandson, Neal Griffith and sisters, Lottie Westall, Sarah Franks, Helen Reavis and Alice Durham “Tootsie”
Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Griffith of Cleveland and niece, Trish Alexander of Salisbury, North Carolina
