Cecelia M. Munzenmaier, 70, passed away following a brief illness, on September 27, 2021.
Cecelia was born on July 23, 1951 in Des Moines to parents, Harry T. and Genevieve H. (Moroney) Munzenmaier. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Des Moines and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa. In 2005, she received her Master of Science in Education from Drake University. She worked as a high school English teacher in Storm Lake and Mason City for a number of years, then at the Des Moines area campus of Kaplan University and William Penn University as an Adjunct composition instructor.
Cecelia started her own business, working as an editor and freelance curriculum developer. She developed materials for textbook publishers and coached business writers. She also authored and published several books including, Write Better eMails, Write More, Stress Less and Write to Be Understood.
Cecelia was a member of the Association of Professional Communication Consultants and past president of the Association for Women in Communications, Des Moines Chapter.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents. She will be lovingly remembered by numerous cousins and many friends.
