Cathy L. (Owens) Bruce, 54, of Bloomington passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at her residence. Born April 5, 1958 in Bloomington, IN, she was the daughter of Jack and Bonnie L. (Mullis) Owens.
Cathy worked at Griner Engineering for 18 years. She also worked for Harper Tax Service and was a security guard for ESG. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed fishing and going to the ocean.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, George Bruce of Bloomington, one son, David L. Bruce of Charlotte, NC, one daughter, Tiffany Bruce-Simmons of Bloomington, one brother, Scott E. Owens (Lisa) of Ellettsville, five grandchildren, Chelsea, Alexis, Breanna, Jasmine, Morgan and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie L. Owens in May of 2012, her father, Jack Owens and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
