DURHAM Mrs. Cathryne Chappell Weaver, 96, of Durham, died on Thursday, October 19, 2017, peacefully in her . Weaver retired from the B. C. Remedy Company. She is a member of the Harvest Glen Baptist Church, formerly the Fieldcrest Baptist Church where she was a charter member, Sunday School teacher, choir member and treasurer. Cathryne was blessed with a gift of hospitality. She loved hosting friends and family and was known as a wonderful southern cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Weaver and sisters, Nannie Walker, Lorena Keith and Iris is survived by her son, Leon Winston “Lenny” Weaver and wife, Jr. of Rougemont; two grandchildren, Mitzi Weaver Nugent (Doug) of Houston, TX., Staci Weaver Good (Kevin) of Edmond, OK.; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Leanne Nugent and Clayton Weaver Nugent.m.
