Catherine Delores Roth, 92 Years, passed away March 12, 2021, at Bishop Drumm in Johnston.
Catherine was born November 6, 1928, in Melcher, Iowa, to Albert and Olga (Buyan) Matkovich. She married Charles Roth in 1949 and they made their home in Des Moines where they raised their son. Catherine was a cosmetologist and worked at Ada’s Beauty Salon on Grand for 20 years and joined her husband at Roth’s Barbershop near Beaver and Douglas for the last 20 years of her career. She attended all of the bowl games of the Iowa Hawkeyes and really enjoyed sports. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Catherine is survived by her son, Joseph M. (Vickie) Roth of Johnston, IA; grandson, Steven Roth of Moulton, IA, and her sister, Mary Ann Crowe of Melcher, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Donald and Jim Matkovich.
