Catherine passed away Monday morning, February 3, 2014, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. She was born on September 12, 1922, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Arthur and Jennie Kannegieter White.
Catherine was employed by KVP/James River until her retirement and was a member of Overisel Reformed Church.
Surviving are her two daughters, Sharon Bill LaLone Jones of Lakeland, FL, and Sandra Jim VanderRoest of Spring Lake; five grandchildren, Dawn Doug Miller, Kristen John Shafer, James Karla VanderRoest, Stephen Jen VanderRoest, and Jonathan Laura VanderRoest; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step-children, Barb Bob Slikkers, Diane Rudy Broekhuis, Larry Marla Zuidema, all of Holland; three sisters-in-law, Lola White, Patti Stender and Alice VandenBosch; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Arthur Iles in 1945, John LaLone in 1990, and Barney Zuidema in 2004, and two brothers, Peter and Benjamin White.
