Catherine Joyce Poulson Rogers, age 63, of North Wilson Ave., Morehead, KY, wife of C. Brent Rogers, departed her earthly life for a Heavenly life on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. The 5-year battle with cancer took her too early but she used her time well to do and to love.
She was born in Orange, California March 8, 1957 to Barbara Ann Horne Poulson and the late Carl R. Poulson, Jr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Barbara Ann Horne Poulson of Conway, Arkansas; one son, Daniel Brent Rogers and wife Jenny of Richmond, KY; granddaughter Ruth and grandson Henry, also of Richmond; one sister, Christine Bard and husband Joel of Conway, AR; nephews Ben, Micah, and Seth Bard and their daughters. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and friends from the United States and the world.
Catherine was first and foremost a daughter, granddaughter, wife (she and Brent were married June 6, 1980 in Fayetteville, AR), mother, and GRANDMOTHER. She also spent over 20 years working for the Rowan County Schools where she was director of public relations and publisher (and photographer and writer and editor) of the Rowan County Schools News. She had a few other duties there also. She was an avid private photographer, mostly nature and grandchildren, in addition to loving travel.
She was going to travel come what may. She told Brent that she was going and he could come along or stay home. He learned to love to travel too.
