Catherine Elizabeth (Krueger) Eilert, 72, of Peru, passed away Tuesday evening, December 31, 2019 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Mrs. Eilert was born March 9, 1947 in DePere, WI to Charles and Bernice (Dahinten) Krueger. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, where she met John Henry Eilert. They were married on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1970 at St. Joseph’s Church, Chicago. Mrs. Eilert held 16 patents and received several awards in her 30-year career and worked as a senior programmer for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY.
She is survived by her husband and preceded in death by her parents.
