Catherine J. “Cathy” Blanchard
Layton – Our cherished wife, mother and grandmother, Catherine J. Blanchard, was called home to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 10, 2016. She was born on September 4, 1934 in Idaho. Cathy married the love of her life, Darrell Blanchard on October 27, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Cathy was a wonderful cook and worked at the Salt Lake Golf and Tennis Club, St. Vincent DePaul Soup and Kitchen in Salt Lake and various restaurants in California.
She enjoyed handcrafts, sewing and decorating for special occasions.
Cathy is survived by her loving husband, Darrell; daughters, Debbie Bost and Donna Kay; 2 grandchildren, (who Cathy and Darrell raised), Tyler (Andrea) Bost and Dana Northern; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lee Bost.
