WATERTOWN ~ Catherine (Cronin) Manning (fondly known as “Kate”), of Watertown passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Middlebury Convalescent Home. She was the widow of the late Richard A. Manning.
Kate was born November 18, 1919 in Waterbury, daughter of Patrick J. and Ellen (Burke) Cronin. Sometimes with just a smile and a wink, Kate touched our lives and souls, and her presence was a gift we will always be thankful for.
She was a talented bookkeeper, and retired after 20 years with the A.J Pepe Food Co. Prior to this, she worked at Chase Brass & Copper and Grieve, Bisset and Holland. Kate was an active member of St.
Kate is survived by her son, Patrick Burke Manning of Watertown and his fiancée, Dawn Lombard of Monroe. She was predeceased by Ellen Valente, her dear friend and shopping companion for over 60 years.
