Casimer J. Lechtanski, 91, of South Bend, Indiana passed away Saturday morning, December 7, 2013 surrounded by his loving family in his home. Casimer was born on September 3, 1922 in South Bend to Anthony L. and Cecelia (Zielinski) Lechtanski and was a lifelong resident. He retired in 1984 after 37 years of employment with Sears Roebuck and Company. On September 18, 1948, in St. Patrick Church, he married Marjorie Bauer, who survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Susan (Michael) Kletka of South Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren, Amanda (Todd) Fruth, Sarah (Laszlo) Hunyadi, and Matthew Kletka; five great-grandchildren, Makayla, Aubrie, Aiden, Maxton, and Isaac Fruth; one sister-in-law, Mary (Olen) Wesner of South Bend, Indiana; one brother-in-law, Robert (Mary) Bauer of San Diego, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Casimer was preceded in death by five sisters, Martha Hoffman, Josephine Roberts, Helen Meszaros, Clara Czosnowski, and Cassie Jozwiak; and six brothers, Steve, Anthony, Michael, Joseph, Stanley and Frank Lechtanski.
