Carroll ‘Sammy’ William White, 60, of 3688 North Fork Road, Martinsville, VA, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011. He was born on January 23, 1950 in Henry County to the late Ruby Carter White and Clarence William White. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn ‘Sissy’ White Gilbert. Mr. White was a member of Valley Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Axton, VA and he was a self-employed farmer. Surviving are his wife, Linda Holland White of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly White Ford and Chad of Martinsville; son and daughter-in-law, Chad William White and Kristie of Axton; sister, Alice White Pruitt of Axton; brothers, Billy White of Martinsville, Jimmy White of Axton, Paul White of Martinsville, Roger White of Ridgeway and Tom White of Collinsville; four grandchildren, Jaxon Tyler Ford, Jaken William Ford, Justin Ray Ford and Alivia Grace White.
