Ruth Bryant
December 2, 1917 颔 July 22, 2010
A member of the greatest generation, born in Franklin Mass into the poverty of the great depression, Ruth along with her husband of 69 years, Carroll Bryant, provided a stable environment for their 4 children.
Ruth was what is called a homemaker, but that doesné¢t come close to describing the influence she had. She was the high school tennis champion of Franklin, an avid bridge player, a cub scout den mother, active in the PTA, the League of women voters, and the Republican Party. She worked tirelessly for candidates and causes she believed in. She had a great sense of humor and would always cut right to the chase. If you wanted something done in the Bryant household you talked to Ruth.
In December of 1941 Ruth married Carroll Bryant of Ludlow. They raised 4 children Leslie, Carroll Warren, Archer, Mitchell. She was a classical pianist and shared her gift by encouraging many young people in the neighborhood to practice on her piano. As a volunteer she provided musical accompaniment for many school programs in the Waterford Connecticut area. A month after the death of her husband Ruth died quietly in her sleep.
They are survived by their son Archer and Mitchell, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
