Details: Carroll A. Babka, 81, died August 24, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Babka was born in Baltimore on March 24, 1934 to the late Joseph and Viola Babka. He worked for the Baltimore City Police Department as an officer for 17 years retiring in 1967. Upon his retirement he started working at Harbor Hospital as Director of Security retiring in 1998 after 22 years of service. Mr. Babka was Past Commander for the American Legion post #277. He was also a member of Locust Point Senior Club, Dolly Wag Traveling Club, and the Last Patrol for retired Police Officers. His hobbies were camping, eating crabs, and shuffleboard. He was also an avid Orioles and Ravens Fan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Delores “Norma” Babka, brother, Joseph Babka, sisters, Elvira Chrispen, and Helena List. Mr. Babka survived by his sons Dave Johnson his wife Darlene Johnson of Shady Side and Mark Johnson of Worton, his daughter, Carol Carey; eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
