Our beloved wife, mother, grandma and sister Carolyn Wright Woods, age 77, passed away on February 13, 2022 at her home in Roy, Utah. She was born on July 1, 1944 in Ogden Utah to parents Dowain and Shirley Wright.
Carolyn grew up and lived in the Ogden Utah area for all of her life. She was the 3rd child of six children {Steve, Rob, Carolyn, Jim, MaryAnn, Cindy}. She graduated from Ogden High School. She married her eternal companion, Ted Woods in the Salt Lake Temple on October 23, 1964. Carolyn and Ted raised their six children in Riverdale, Utah. While their kids were growing up, Carolyn and Ted took them on many trips to Disneyland. Carolyn loved to host family get-togethers, holiday parties and grandkid’s birthday parties. Her birthday was often celebrated in conjunction with the fourth of July celebrations. Celebrating the Christmas season with her family was of the utmost importance to her and she looked forward to that time of year. Carolyn worked for many years for the Ogden city school district. Later in life, Carolyn enjoyed her time working and volunteering at the McKay-Dee Hospital. Carolyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She had a deep and abiding faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ
Although she confronted many prolonged health struggles toward the end of her life, Carolyn faced them with faith, hope and trust. Carolyn was grateful for the wonderful nurses and caregivers that served her. A special thank you to Stefanie, Ashlie and Debbie with Atlas Home Care for the love and care they provided Carolyn over the past 22 months.
Carolyn will always be remembered for her cheerful demeanor and her great love for family members and friends. She loved to serve others and all who entered her home felt loved by her. She considered her crowning achievement as being a mother and a grandma.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband Ted; her children, Nannette {Robert} Milliner, Shannon {Dave} Adamson, Sheila {Dave} Nielsen, Suzanne {Ryan} Westbroek, Nathan {Laura} Woods, Melissa {Jason} Paskett; Grandchildren; Krystal Milliner, Kaylee Milliner, Michael Milliner, Preston (Anna) Adamson, Carissa (Kyle) Read, Mitchel (Courtney) Adamson, Matthew (Kaity) Adamson, Loren Hawks, Julia Hawks, Jenavieve (Michele) Hawks, Madison (Mark) Grow, Abby (Michael) Saunders, Logan Westbroek, Emma Westbroek, Adam Woods, Nathaniel Woods, Kelly Woods, Issac Woods, Jaron Paskett, Emilee Paskett; Great Grandchildren; Audrey Adamson, Benjamin Adamson, Spencer Adamson, Ellis Adamson, Roslyn Adamson, Kennick Grow & Kelton Grow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Steve Wright and grandson Dallin Adamson.
