She was born in Miami, FL where her family lived during the first seven years of her life until the untimely death of her father. She and her family moved to Marietta, GA where she lived until she met and married her husband Jim. They were married in 1962 and began an adventure that included living in Taipei, Taiwan and in Germany as Jim served in the US Air Force for 25 years. Carol served her country alongside him as she participated in life of each community where they lived.
Carol joined her first league in 1958 and remained involved in the sport ever since. Her efforts were best rewarded in the organization of the sport. Carol’s many accomplishments included being elected to the Florida Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame as the recipient of the Rose Kessel Award and the Emerald Coast USBC Association Hall of Fame. She was currently serving as a Director of the Florida State Women’s Bowling Association and as the President of the Emerald Coast USBC. She was a youth bowling coach for years and held numerous offices locally and on the state level for decades. Carol was a leader of many, a friend to even more, and one all could count on. She will be loved and missed.
