A native of Tennessee, she was a retired self employed Cosmotologist and a member of West Union Baptist Church. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, MawMaw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Lee Hutchinson and Lorraine Browder Hutchinson; her sisters, Marolyn Hutchinson and Thelma Hutchinson; and her brother, Truman to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Ray Simmons; her daughters, Tracy (Chris) Jones, Clista (Richard) Huber, Pam Mathis; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy Furr, Melissa Kennedy, Heather Guchereau, Summer Monroe, Ciara Kennedy, Caroline Macdonald, Lindsey Hobgood, and Lauren Smith; 14 great grandchildren; her sisters, Geneva (Alvin) Strickland, Wilma Stockstill, Virginia Hutchinson; and her brother, James “Leslie” Hutchinson.
